Fox Fans Met Goal and Charities Get Money

According to the Chronicle of Philanthropy, Fox network challenged fans to promote their upcoming program "Red Band Society" by sharing content. Fox also said if fans met the “flock-to-unlock” goal it would donate $100,000 total to five charities. The fans met the goal and Fox donated money to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and Teen Cancer America. Online Giving Grows, but Could Still Improve

Online giving is increasing for small nonprofits, but still has room to grow, reports The NonProfit Times. The findings are a result of a survey performed by The Individual Donor Benchmark Report. They surveyed 29  non-profits with budgets of less than $2 million and found that those organizations had an 79 percent increase in online revenue compared to 2012, but that number only represents an average of 16 percent of overall revenue. According to The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Call of Duty Endowment, a philanthropic branch of Activision Blizzard, which works to find high quality employment for veterans has created a scorecard to ensure that the programs it funds are high quality.
